Gratitude #11

Four Seasons.  I know, I know.  I was born and pretty much raised in San Diego -- home of the shortest thermometer in the continental United States.  There aren't four seasons there.  There it just feels like cold summer, mild summer, regular summer, and hot summer.  But, for whatever reason, I have always loved four seasons.  Snow on mountain views out my windows in the winter.  Tulips and daffodils erupting in the spring in my yard. Summer trips to Lake Powell. Autumn leaves turning colors along the Alpine Loop in the fall.

Living in a place with four seasons lends to living in a perpetual state of anticipation.  Enjoying what's happening now, but knowing that change is coming in a few months.  I like that. I like it a lot.
